Evidence for Impact 2022: Merck for Mothers’ Quest to Understand How to Improve Maternal Health Outcomes in An Equitable and Sustainable Way

The third compendium of research and evaluation, Evidence for Impact 2022 – supported by Merck for Mothers, highlights the latest findings and results of applying a data-driven and evidence-based approach to helping save women’s lives. Within this report, you will find more than 170 publications, including 40+ peer-reviewed journal articles, published since mid-2020.

This report is organized into three priority areas:

  • Integrating women’s experiences of care into quality improvement efforts
  • Understanding why women are dying to prevent future death and disability
  • Improving the quality of care that women receive – wherever they seek care

Evidence for Impact 2022 includes practical tools that Merck for Mothers’ collaborators have developed to put research findings into practice. Readers are encouraged to consider adopting these tools with the hopes that they are useful in enhancing their own programs.

Additionally, and to bring our compendium to life, we have developed animated videos to demonstrate our impact in action. See below for a video overview of our report.
